COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 24-3 victory over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday afternoon as 13 different Bears recorded a goal in the contest from Patterson Field.
It marks as the Bears largest margin of victory since defeating Delaware Valley by 20 last season in a 23-3 contest. Four different athletes collected hattricks in the game as junior
Sarah Child tallied a career-best and a team-high four goals, while junior
Maeve Leonzi, sophomore
Skyler Bogdan, and first-year Jamie Michaud each added three goals apiece. Child, Bogdan, and Michaud each recorded their first career hattricks by tallying a career-best in goals. Meanwhile, sophomore
Ashley Noto paced the offense with a career-high eight assists which ranks as the second most in program history and the most in a single game since Jamie Matty had seven in 2001. Noto had a goal to total nine points which was the most since Alyssa Thren recorded 11 points against Cabrinin in 2012. On defense, sophomore

Charlotte Grahame collected her first career victory behind stopping five shots over 45 minutes of action.
Each defense opened the contest by holding the opposing offenses off the scoreboard, until first-year
Dana DeSiato netted the opening goal at the 8:56-mark of the first quarter. On the play, Noto dished a pass to DeSiato who beat two Aggies defenders in front of the net for the first goal. Delaware Valley quickly responded with a goal at the 7:56-mark, before the Bears used seven consecutive goals to earn an 8-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Seven different goal scorers capped the Bears run including back-to-back goals from sisters Mary and Jamie Michaud.
In the second quarter, Ursinus carried the momentum into the stanza as the Bears scored four straight goals over the first three minutes of action to increase their lead to 12-1. Noto dished out four consecutive assists during the Bears run, while the Bears continued to pick apart the Aggies man-to-man defense. Leonzi and Jamie Michaud added their second goals of the game, while first-year
Ryann Buchner joined the party by scoring her second goal of the season. Michaud tallied her hattrick at the 7:31-mark as she beat her defender and created a one-on-one opportunity with the Aggies netminder for the goal. The Bears defense forced three turnovers over the remainder of the first half as Child added her first goal to give Ursinus a 14-1 advantage at halftime.

Mia Gifford dished out an assist to Leonzi for a goal to stretch the Bears lead to 16-1. DeSiato added her second goal of the day at the 8:48-mark, before Delaware Valley broke the 16-0 run with a goal at the 6:58-mark. Ursinus closed out the period on a 2-1 run as Vizian and first-year
Brooklyn Roe found the back of the net. It marks as the second goal of the season for Roe and her second straight game with a goal after scoring against Carthage over spring break. The Bears outscored Delaware Valley 5-0 in the final period as Child recorded three of her four goals in the period leading Ursinus to a 24-3 victory. Ursinus held a 37-10 advantage in shots and a 21-10 edge in draw controls. The Bears converted on 61.5% (8-of-13) of their clear attempts while holding the Aggies to a clear percentage of 40% (6-of-15). Grahame earned the victory in goal for Ursinus as Delaware Valley's Emma Drake suffered the loss after stopping nine shots over 60 minutes of action.
The Bears return to action on Saturday as they host Washington College for their Centennial Conference opener starting at 3 p.m.
