CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Lacrosse team wrapped up its 2024 season with a 17-8 setback to No. 8 Dickinson on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.
The Red Devils took control of the game in the first half as they scored nine of the first 10 goals of the game to go up 9-1 at the 10:36-mark of the second quarter. Sophomore
Chris Bryant ended the run at the 9:39-mark, but Dickinson extended its lead out to 15-3 into the third quarter. Ursinus scored four of the last six goals in the fourth quarter to close the game. Junior
Christopher Pucciarelli started the run with a man down goal before sophomore
Aidan Kirk followed with 1:50 left in regulation. Senior
Jason Werrick added a goal shortly after and Pucciarelli closed the game out in the final seconds with another.
The Red Devils held a 41-35 advantage in shots and a 25-19 edge in shots on goal. Dickinson held a slight 38-36 advantage in ground balls while the Bears owned a 15-13 advantage in face off wins. Senior
Jonathan Singer made eight saves in his final 60 minutes as the Ursinus goalkeeper while Patrick Scarborough tallied 11 saves. Pucciarelli led the Bears with three points behind two goals and one assist while senior
Eddie Newman scored two goals.
