CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Lacrosse team wrapped up its 2024 season with an 18-10 setback at Dickinson on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.

Junior Maeve Leonzi answered an early Red Devils goal at the 11:55-mark to tie the game at one, but Dickinson tallied four straight goals to go up 5-1 at the 3:23-mark of the first quarter. First-year Jaime Michaud scored a pair of goals around another Dickinson goal that made it 6-3 at the 14:34-mark of the second quarter. However, the Red Devils went on another extended run with three straight goals to go up 9-3 with 3:47 left in the second quarter. Senior Mary Michaud scored to end the run with two minutes left in the first half before the Red Devils closed the half with one last goal in the final minute and took a 10-4 lead into the half.

Ursinus made a charge in the second half by scoring six of the first seven goals to cut the Dickinson lead down to 11-9 with 13:59 left in regulation. Junior Grace Lynch started the run at the 13:48-mark of the third quarter and assisted on a tally just over minute later to classmate Julia McCann, who recorded her 100th career point on her goal. McCann recorded back-to-back goals following a Red Devils tally that made it 11-8 and Leonzi capped the run with her second goal. Unfortunately for the Bears, Dickinson took the control of the game by scoring four straight goals in part of tallying seven of the last eight goals of the game.

The Red Devils held a 36-28 shot advantage for the game and a 24-19 edge in shots on goal. Ursinus held a slight edge in ground balls at 18-17 while Dickinson held a sizable 22-9 advantage in draw control wins. Bears sophomore goalkeeper Camille Hubbs made six saves in the full 60 minutes and recorded her 100th career save. Peyton VanDorpe tallied nine saves for Dickinson in the full time of the game.
