LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus men's swimming team competed at the Centennial Quad Meet on Saturday afternoon to open their 2025-26 season.
The Bears fell to the Diplomats (174-86), No. 20 Swarthmore College (205-54), and Dickinson College (162-97) and will open the season with an 0-3 record. Ursinus opened the meet by finishing fourth in the 200-yard medley relay as the quartet of sophomore

Jack Campbell combined for a time of 1:37.52.
Next, first-year
Alexander Nicolai shined in his collegiate debut by placing second in the 1,000-yard freestyle by touching the wall at 10:24.05. Later in the meet, Nicolai added his first career event victory in the 500-yard freestyle tallying a time of 4:55.88. Junior
Adam Denn added a seventh-place finish in the 1000 free behind a time of 11:36.90.
Next, in the 200-yard freestyle, senior
David McCauley collected a fourth-place nod by finishing with a time of 1:50.48. Meanwhile, Travers recorded a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (55.59), while D'Avella followed with a fifth-place nod in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.68). Travers also placed fifth in the 200-yard backstroke, recording a time of 2:04.07.
In the 200-yard butterfly, Giuliana placed fourth behind a time of 2:03.57 while first-year
Brady May placed 10th in his collegiate debut with a time of 2:19.00. During the 100-yard freestyle, Giuliana added a seventh-place finish touching the wall at 49.43. Ursinus closed out the meet by placing sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay behind a time of 1:30.25.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, November 1st as they travel to Widener University for a dual meet against the Pride starting at 1 p.m.
