COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Basketball team cruised to an 87-56 win over Rosemont in non-conference action on Monday night at Helfferich Hall.

Jamie Murphy, who scored a game-high 20 points behind 7-of-10 shooting while compiling eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Senior
Nick Nocito scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and tallied seven assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Sophomore
Porter Kelly added 14 points off the bench behind going 4-of-6 from three-point range and senior
Mohamed Toure plus junior
Matthew Field posted 10 points apiece.
After Rosemont scored the first basket of the game, the Bears stormed ahead with a 14-4 run to take a 14-6 lead at the 11:47-mark of the first half. Ursinus stretched their lead to double digit points for the first time at the 9:24-mark when they went up 20-9 following a layup from Field. Kelly got red hot from the field after Rosemont cut the lead to 22-15 as he sunk three straight three-pointers to put Ursinus up 31-18 with 5:36 left in the first half. The Bears did not let their lead fall below seven points in the remainder of the first half and they held a 40-31 lead at halftime.
Ursinus hit the gas early in the second half as they opened on a 16-3 run to take a commanding 56-34 lead at the 13:49-mark. The Bears held the Ravens without a point for a stretch of 4:42 and stretched its lead to 64-39 at the 10:05-mark following a layup from Murphy. Ursinus extended its lead to 30 points for the first time at 73-43 with 7:24 left in regulation and held their largest lead of the game of 34 points at 85-51 with exactly three minutes left in the game.
The Bears shot 55 percent (33-of-60) from the field behind a sizzling 66.7 percent from the field in the second half and went 37.5 percent (9-of-24) from three-point range. Ursinus went 12-of-16 (75%) from the free throw line and held a 34-22 rebounding advantage that led to a 15-5 advantage in second chance points. Meanwhile, the Ravens shot 46 percent (23-of-50) from the field and 30 percent (6-of-20) from three-point range. Rosemont also made all four free throws attempted.

th as they will take on Scranton at the York Spartan Classic starting at 4:00 p.m.
