ORLANDO, Fla. – The Ursinus Men's Tennis team opened the Spring portion of its 2025 season on Monday morning as they dropped a 7-0 contest to Calvin down in Orlando.
The Knights swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Sophomore
Teddy Snyder and first-year
Russell Nour suffered a 6-0 setback at No. 2 doubles to Ryan Broek and Felipe Sartori before sophomores
Noah Dichter and
Deniz Finkel were bested 6-1 by Rodrigo Alipio and Mario Neto at the No. 1 spot. Junior
Andrei Bogdan and first-year
Charles DiCicco lost a tough 6-3 battle at No. 3 doubles to Corwin Kim and Tanner Warners.
Dichter suffered a 3-6, 0-6 setback to Broek at No. 4 singles and Nour dropped a 1-6, 2-6 decision to Sartori at the No. 3 singles spot. Finkel fell 2-6, 1-6 to Alipio at the No. 1 spot and Bogdan was edged 2-6, 6-4, 4-10 No. 5 match by a tiebreaker to Neto. Snyder was defeated 3-6, 0-6 at the No. 2 singles position by Bartels and DiCicco lost 4-6, 4-6 to Henao.
The Bears return to action tomorrow, March 11th as they will play a pair of matches starting with St. Scholastica at 12:00 p.m. and Covenant (GA) at 6:30 p.m.
