BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ursinus Gymnastics team turned in a heroic effort at the 2025 NCGA East Regional Championships held at the University of Brockport on Saturday afternoon. The Bears set a new team school record on the floor and a season-high score of 190.925 to finish fourth overall in the team standings.

Brockport and Cortland earned the team automatic qualifiers for the 2025 NCGA National Championship that will be held at Gustavus Adolphus in two weeks.
The Bears score of 190.925 was made up of a vault score of 48.075, bars score of 46.275, beam score of 47.875, and a new school record total of 48.700 that topped the old mark of 48.600 set at Temple in 2015.
Sophomore
Erin Roe solidified her second straight NCGA National Championship appearance behind having the highest SAS in the east region in the All-Around at 37.9813.
Ursinus opened on the bars and Roe led the Bears with a 9.575 which placed her fifth overall in the individual standings. Junior
Kylie Ruggiero was right behind with a 9.550 that tied her for sixth overall while sophomore
Lauren Coleman was third among Bears gymnasts with a 9.4. Junior
Brianna Duffy recorded a 9.1 on the bars for Ursinus.
Following a bye, the Bears turned to the beam where senior
Madison Zimmerman capped her beam career with a 9.8 that led Ursinus and placed her fourth overall. Sophomore
Lucy Warburton was next for Ursinus by matching her career best score of 9.7 and senior
Erin Stubbs recorded a 9.625 and continued to be an unsung hero on the event down the stretch for the Bears. Junior
Adrienne Roth posted a score of 9.425 and sophomore
Arianna Ellis added a 9.325 to the Ursinus total.
Ursinus moved onto the floor after a second bye and bested the previous school record of 48.600 for the event that was previously set at Temple in February 2015. Senior
Megan Matteucci spearheaded the historic day for the Ursinus floor program by matching her career best score of 9.825 and finished fourth in the overall standings. Roe blitzed her old career best on the floor by posting a 9.775 that tied her for eighth overall and Warburton set a new career best of her own with a 9.725. Ellis kept the consistency going with a 9.7 and junior
Sidney Schreiber tallied a 9.675. Senior
Isabella Scarpetti rounded out the Bears scores with a 9.625.
The Bears finished their day on the vault and Roe finished runner-up with her score of 9.8 and finished fourth in the All-Around on a total of 37.600. First-year
Michaela Duffy was second among Bears gymnasts with a career best score of 9.650 and tied for eighth overall. Stubbs recorded a 9.575 and Zimmerman was right behind at a 9.550. Matteucci and Schreiber each posted a 9.5 to complete the Ursinus vault totals.
The NCGA will announce individual qualifiers and the final two at-large teams for the NCGA National Championship on Monday.
