COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Tennis team earned a 5-2 win over Arcadia in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon at the Ace Bailey Tennis Courts.
With the win, the Bears improved to 9-6 overall as they played their last non-conference match of the season. Meanwhile, the Knights of the MAC Freedom fell to 4-4 overall.
Ursinus won two of the three doubles matches to gain the first point of the match. Sophomores

Julia Nitz swept past Jessie Friel and Bridgit Terry 6-0 at No. 3 doubles and senior
Allie Armour and junior
Bella Vassalluzzo took down Savannah Falk and Karolina Iordache 6-0 at the No. 1 spot. Sophomore
Morgan Coupe and first-year
Katie Yu dropped a tough 7-6 (7-5) No. 2 doubles match to Winner Leah Hatcher and Jada Young.
In singles play, Daly suffered a 1-6, 6-2, 9-11 No. 2 match to Iordache and Armour was bested 3-6, 6-7 (4-7) by Falk at the No. 1 spot. Yu outlasted Hatcher 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Vassalluzzo followed by defeating Young 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 4 position. Junior
Kate Rubinkam clinched the match for the Bears by defeating Bertrand 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5 spot and Coupe defeated Bridgit Terry 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot to close out the match.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, April 12th as they will travel to face Gettysburg now at 12:45 p.m. at the YACTA Indoor Courts in Hanover.
