HANOVER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 win over Gettysburg in Centennial Conference action on Saturday at the York Adams Community Tennis Association (YACTA) indoor courts.
With the win, the Bears improved to 10-6 overall and leveled their Centennial Conference record to 2-2 overall. Meanwhile, the Bullets fell to 6-8 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
The Bears made the opening statement by taking two of the three doubles matches to gain the first point of the day. Following sophomore

Katie Yu dropping their No. 2 match 6-2 to Emma Ward and Harper Wood, sophomores

Julia Nitz bested Kate Alianiello and Eden Levkov 6-4 at the No. 3 spot. Senior
Allie Armour and junior
Bella Vassalluzzo outlasted Sarah Guistwite and Shoshi Dondes 7-5 at the No. 1 position to lock up the point.
Armour kept the momentum going for the Bears in singles play by defeating Guistwite 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot. Daly was downed 0-6, 4-6 by Ward at the No. 2 position and Yu lost 4-6, 4-6 at No. 3 singles to tie the match at two. Vassalluzzo put the Bears back in front with a 6-1, 6-2 No. 4 singles win over Dondes which set up Coupe to deliver the match-clinching point at the No. 6 spot by defeating Wood 6-1, 6-2. Junior
Kate Rubinkam dropped a tough 6-4, 3-6, 2-10 No. 5 singles match to Alianiello to finish the match.
The Bears return to action by hosting No. 50 Haverford on Tuesday, April 15th at 4:00 p.m. for Centennial Conference play.
