CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Ursinus Men's Tennis team dropped a 6-1 Centennial Conference match to Washington College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Shoremen swept the doubles points to get the first point of the match. The No. 2 doubles duo of
Deniz Finkel and first-year
Charles DiCicco were defeated 6-1 by Oskar Wroblewski and Aaradith Ravichandran and sophomore
Teddy Snyder and first-year
Russell Nour suffered a 6-1 setback to Tichi Chialva and Sihoo Kim at the No. 1 spot. Junior
Andrei Bogdan and sophomore Noah DIchter fell 6-2 to Jorge Urgal Zuleta and Demir Isiker at the No. 3 doubles spot.
In singles, Finkel gained the Bears only win of the match at No. 3 singles when he defeated Isiker 6-1, 6-1. DiCicco lost 4-6, 0-6 to Chialva at No. 5 singles and Snyder dropped a 4-6, 0-6 match to Kim at No. 1 singles. Nour dropped a tough 5-7, 4-6 No. 6 singles match to Wroblewski before Bogdan suffered a 2-6, 6-7 setback to Zuleta at No. 2 singles. Dichter was outlasted by Sealy 4-6, 6-2, 0-6 at the No. 4 spot that concluded the match.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, April 5th as they will host Dickinson at 1:00 p.m. in Centennial Conference action.
