COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus Director of Athletics Erin Stroble announced Friday the promotion of Casey Green to be the new head Ursinus Men's and Women's Cross Country Head Coach.
 
 
Green spent his first season at Ursinus serving as the Associate Head Coach for the Bears Cross Country and Track & Field teams under the direction of former Cross Country/Track & Field head coach, Carl Blickle.
 
 
"I am very excited for Casey Green to take on this elevated role as our Head Coach for Men's & Women's Cross Country," Stroble said "In his year at Ursinus as Associate Coach, Coach Green has shown his unwavering commitment to the experience of our student-athletes, and a willingness to contribute to Team Ursinus in many ways.  His leadership and support for our distance runners will continue to benefit them and all of our cross country and track & field student athletes."
 
 
Green helped coach four Bears to earn All-Metro Region honors at the 2024 NCAA Metro Regional Cross Country Championships in: Liam Johnston, Christian Rosado, Mia Sideris, and Ryann Wauthier. On the track & field side, Green saw a combined 10 Centennial Conference Champions between the indoor and outdoor seasons and three student-athletes achieve NCAA All-American honors at the NCAA Championships.

Green arrived in Collegeville this past September and has made an instant impact to the Ursinus Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Green came to Ursinus after working on the Lafayette College Operations staff during the 2023-24 school year. Green served as the Athletic Events and Operations Coordinator as well as the head cross country and track and field coach at Madison Country Day School from 2022-23. He was also the director of cross country and track and field at Bryant & Stratton College in 2019-21 and the head cross country coach in 2018-19. Prior to that, Green coached track and field at Madison West High School from 2019-20 and was the athletic director at The Noble Academy in Chicago, Ill., while also coaching cross country and track and field, from 2016-18.
