ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ursinus gymnastics team hit the road for the first time during the 2026 season, competing against Ithaca College in an NCGA East Regional dual meet Sunday afternoon.
The Bears posted a team score of 188.475, an increase of more than two points from their season-opening total a week ago. Ithaca finished with a score of 189.950.
Ursinus opened on the uneven bars and recorded a team total of 45.600. Junior
Erin Roe led the Bears with a season-high 9.675 to win the event. Junior
Lucy Warburton followed with a 9.425, placing third overall. Senior Bri Duffy finished fifth with a 9.225, while junior
LeeLee Sanders placed eighth with an 8.775.
The Bears were next onto the vault where they finished with a team score of 47.650. Roe paced the Bears lineup by claiming the top score with a 9.725 with senior
Sidney Schreiber tying for second with a 9.700. Sophomore
Michaela Duffy placed fourth with a 9.550, and first-year
Lily Stewart earned a 9.350 in her collegiate debut.
Warburton continued her strong performance on the floor, posting a career-high 9.800 to finish second and leading Ursinus to a team tally of 48.125. Roe placed sixth with a 9.675, while Schreiber ranked ninth with a 9.600. Ursinus closed the meet on the balance beam, earning a team total of 47.100. Warburton finished second with a 9.675, just shy of her career best of 9.700. Schreiber tied for third with a 9.650, and
Michaela Duffy and Roe each scored 9.425 to tie for eighth.
The Bears return to action Sunday, Feb. 1, when they host SUNY Brockport at 1 p.m. in Helfferich Hall.
