WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Ursinus Football team rolled in their first road game in a month as they defeated McDaniel 40-14 in Centennial Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Bears improved to 5-0 for the second time in the last three seasons and 2-0 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Green Terror fell to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in Centennial Conference play.
Senior quarterback
Tristan Machado passed for a season-high 273 yards on 21-of-28 passing with three touchdowns. Senior wide receiver
Ryder Zulkowski paced the Bears with 103 yards on six catches and classmate
Aidan Donahue caught five passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. Senior
Aidan Roselle totaled 47 yards on four catches and a score while sophomore
Danny Gies caught two passes for 23 yards and the other touchdown pass.

Sam Moore led the Bears ground attack with a game-high 64 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown in his first extended game action. Junior
Devon Green totaled 58 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns as he got his first start today.
The Bears wasted little time getting on the board as they needed just six plays in under five minutes to go up 7-0 as Donahue hauled in a 26-yard touchdown pass. However, the Green Terror scored on its first offensive play of the game off a 65-yard touchdown pass to knot the score at seven. Ursinus countered the big play with an 11-play 81-yard drive that ended with a 7-yard touchdown reception by Roselle to go up 13-7 at the 5:12-mark of the first quarter. Junior defensive tackle
Samuel Rock III set the Bears up with good field position by forcing a McDaniel fumble deep in their own territory on the third play of the ensuing drive. The Bears cashed in when Moore scored a 15-yard touchdown run with 1:22 left in the first quarter to make it 19-7 after a second straight missed extra point. Ursinus held its 19-7 advantage deep into the second quarter despite an interception in the early minutes and extended it to 26-7 when Machado found Gies for a 10-yard touchdown completion with exactly a minute left in the half.
Ursinus forced a pair of Green Terror punts to open the second half and staved off another interception thrown deep in McDaniel territory. The Bears got good field position off a Donahue punt return and extended its lead to 33-7 at the 6:22-mark of the third quarter when Green scored from six yards out. The Bears capped the scoring by responding to a late third quarter McDaniel touchdown with Green's second touchdown of the game, this time from seven yards out, to make it 40-14 with 11:47 left in regulation.
Rock III led the Bears with eight tackles, 1.0 TFL, and a forced fumble and junior linebacker
PJ Blessington made five tackles. Junior defensive end

th as they will host Johns Hopkins for its annual homecoming game at 1:00 p.m.
