TOWSON, Md. – Junior
Erin Roe set the Ursinus Gymnastics All-Around record to highlight a strong day at the Towson Quad Meet on Sunday afternoon, in their final meet before NCGA East Regionals.
The Bears went against a trio of Division I schools and recorded a team score of 191.775 which was their second highest team score of the season. NC State won the meet with a score of 197.15 while West Virginia was second at 196.35 and the host Tigers scored a 195.675.
Roe registered an all-around score of 38.950 that topped the previous mark of 38.675 set by Kaelin Ruoss at the 2015 NCGA East Regionals. He score was also an NCGA East All-Around record and was the second-highest All-Around score in NCGA history. A three-time recipient this season of the NCGA East All-Around Gymnast of the Week, she now holds the highest all-around score among all Division III gymnasts this season and ranks second with a NQS of 38.060.
Ursinus opened on the floor and recorded a team score of 48.000. Junior
Arianna Ellis led the Bears by matching her career best score of 9.725 while classmate
Lucy Warburton and sophomore
Michaela Duffy were next as both scored a 9.650. Roe began her day with a 9.625 and first-year
Belle Bentman posted a score of 9.350. Senior
Sidney Schreiber rounded out the Ursinus floor scores with a 9.3.
The Bears were outstanding on the vault as they recorded a team score of 48.275 which was their highest as a team since posting a 48.325 at the 2015 NCGA National Championships. Roe powered the Bears on the Vault by matching her career best score of 9.825 and tied for third overall. Schreiber followed with a 9.7 and
Michaela Duffy was just off her career best score by posting a 9.625. First-year
Elizabeth Toppi recorded a career best score of 9.575 while senior
Valentina Hurtado and first-year
Lily Stewart matched their respective career best totals of 9.550.
Ursinus recorded a team score of 47.050 on the bars and were led by a career best score from Roe at a 9.725. Junior
LeeLee Sanders recorded a 9.450 and Warburton was just behind at a 9.4. Junior
Lauren Coleman added a 9.325 and senior
Kylie Ruggiero posted a total of 9.150.
The Bears finished strong on the beam by recording a season best team total of 48.450 that was their highest since posting a 48.475 at Brockport in February 2024.
Michaela Duffy dazzled with a career best score of 9.8 and Roe solidified her all-around school record with a career best score of 9.775. Sanders recorded a career best score of 9.675 and Warburton was next at a 9.625. Schreiber tallied a score of 9.575 and Ellis finished off the Ursinus scores at a 9.225.
Ursinus returns to action on Saturday, March 7th as they will compete in the NCGA East Regionals hosted by Rhode Island College at 1:00 p.m.
