Full NABC Division III All-American Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ursinus Men's Basketball Senior
Mohamed Toure was named an NABC Division III Third Team All-American, announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Voted on by coaches of NABC-member coaches in Division III, Toure became the fifth different player in program history to earn All-American status by the NABC and first since Nick Shattuck in 2007-08 who had earned back-to-back All-American nods.
The All-American nod is a bow to a lengthy list of postseason accolades earned by the Washington D.C. native after a season to remember in Collegeville. Toure was just named both a First Team NABC All-District V pick and Second Team All-Region 5 selection from D3hoops.com. He was the first Bear named Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year since 2008 and gain Centennial Conference First Team honors. Toure ranked third in the Centennial Conference at a career best 17.3 points per game. He made his mark in Centennial Conference games by recording a staggering 20.6 points per game in conference games that was a full point ahead of second place. Toure ranked third in the Centennial with a 49.4 field goal percentage and paced the Bears with 5.9 rebounds per game. He also led the team and ranked fifth in the Centennial at 1.0 steals per game. Toure saved his best for the str on fire in February by scoring at least 21 points in seven of the last eight games for Ursinus while scoring in double-figures in all but two games plus tallying three double-doubles. He also eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark on January 21
st against Muhlenberg and finishes with 1,239 career points which ranks him 20th all time in program history.
He will officially wrap up his career in the NABC Division III All-Star Game on Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
