HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Lacrosse team played its first road Centennial Conference contest at Haverford on Saturday afternoon.

Jared Laskin got the scoring started at the 13:49-mark of the first quarter before senior
Barrett Denlinger countered a Fords goal to give Bears the lead back at 2-1 with 4:05 left in the first quarter. The Fords took their first lead of the game at 3-2 and senior
Harry Sweitzer tied the game back at three with 29 seconds left in the first quarter. Haverford went up 5-3 in the second quarter and senior
Lars Homan scored his first goal of the game that made it 5-4 at the 9:20-mark. Haverford scored three straight goals to go up 8-4 before a goal from junior
Daniel Kupiec with eight seconds left in the first half made it 8-5 into halftime.
The Bears kept the run going by getting early third quarter goals from senior
Aidan Kirk and Denlinger that made it 8-7 at the 12:45-mark, but the Fords countered with back-to-back goals to go up 10-7. Sophomore
Daniel Rice scored a goal at the 5:32-mark that made it 10-8 until Haverford scored three goals to go up 13-8 at the 11:58-mark of the fourth quarter. Ursinus made it interesting with four straight goals to make it 13-12 before running out of time.
Ursinus held a 43-35 shot advantage for the game and a 27-24 edge in shots on goal. Haverford held a 38-30 ground ball advantage and 16-13 advantage in faceoff wins. Two Bears goalkeepers split time as sophomore
Zach Lewis made five saves in the first half while
Colin Daroch made six saves in the second half. Mac Broaddus made 15 saves for Haverford in the full time. Homan, Rice, and Sweitzer all tallied three points off two goals and one assist.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 3rd as they will travel to face Dickinson at 7:00 p.m.
