ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A three-run 11th inning powered the Ursinus College baseball team to a 13-12 victory over Muhlenberg College in extra innings Tuesday afternoon at Bicentennial Park.
With the win, Ursinus improved to 21-14 overall and 8-7 in Centennial Conference play. Muhlenberg fell to 10-22 and 5-10 in the conference.
Muhlenberg scored six runs over the first two innings before Ursinus rallied to tie the game at six in the fifth. The Bears later built a 10-6 lead, but the Mules scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings. Ursinus plated three runs in the 11th and held on for the road win.

Jamie O'Neill led Ursinus at the plate and on the mound, finishing 3-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored. He also earned his third save of the season, striking out three in the 11th to secure the victory.

Kyle Rosenfeld each had two hits and scored a run. Sophomore
Alex Grehawick allowed just four hits over five shutout innings in relief.
Sullivan led off the game with a single to center and stole his 28th base of the season but was stranded after a strikeout, popout and groundout.
Muhlenberg answered with six runs across the first two innings to take an early lead. The Mules got a two-out RBI double in the first, then added five runs on four hits and four walks in the second to go ahead 6-0. Grehawick entered with one out in the second and stranded the bases loaded to limit the damage.
Ursinus began its comeback in the third, scoring on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch by senior
Shane Beaver to cut the deficit to 6-1. After Grehawick retired the side in order, the Bears added another run on a one-out double by Sullivan. Senior
George Nestor opened the inning with a double and later scored to make it 6-2.
The Bears tied the game in the fifth, scoring four runs on four hits and an error. Gesford singled to start the inning, Beaver walked, and O'Neill added an RBI single. Following a pitching change, Rosenfeld, and Sullivan each reached base to make it 6-5. With the bases loaded and one out, Kopec delivered an RBI single to left to even the score before a popout and strikeout ended the inning.
Grehawick continued to keep the Mules off balance, working around scattered hits as the game remained tied through six innings. After two outs in the seventh, Kopec reached on an error and advanced to scoring position on a throwing error. First-year
Brett Barrett followed with an RBI single to right to give Ursinus a 7-6 lead.
Ursinus added an insurance run in the eighth on a two-out RBI single by Rosenfeld. In the ninth, sophomore
Devin Fogg tallied an RBI single with two outs, stole third, and scored on a dropped third strike to extend the lead to 10-6.
Muhlenberg rallied in the bottom of the ninth, scoring four runs on three extra-base hits, including a two-run home run, to tie the game. After a scoreless 10th, Ursinus loaded the bases with no outs in the 11th. Following an infield fly, Fogg, and Beaver each drew RBI walks, and Nestor was hit by a pitch to force in another run and give the Bears a 13-10 lead.
O'Neill took the mound in the bottom half and struck out the first two batters. Muhlenberg answered with a walk and a two-run home run, but O'Neill recorded another strikeout to seal the 13-12 win.
Ursinus returns to action Wednesday, hosting Penn State Brandywine at 3:30 p.m. at Thomas Field.
