COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Bears women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback to Washington College at the Ace Bailey Tennis Courts. on Tuesday afternoon in Centennial Conference play.

Morgan Coupe highlighted the doubles action for the Bears by besting Carrie Lord and Juanita Arbelaez 6-4 at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore
Katie Yu and first-year
Sara Steelesmith lost 6-1 to Gaby Coutts and Isabella Sorhegui at the No. 3 spot before senior
Bella Vassalluzzo and junior
Caroline Daly was defeated at No. 1 doubles by Eva Kading and Soleil Namunyola by a score of 6-3.
In singles, Coupe lost 1-6, 0-6 to Sorhegui at the No. 3 spot and Yu was bested by Arbaelaez 2-6, 0-6 at the No. 1 spot. Steelesmith dropped an 1-6, 0-6 No. 6 singles match to Wilde, Daly was downed by Namunyola 4-6, 4-6 No. 2 singles, Vassalluzzo lost 5-7, 2-6 to Sperandei at No. 4 singles, and Rubinkam dropped a hard-fought No. 5 singles match to Coutts 5-7, 6-7 (7-9).
The Bears return to action on Saturday, April 25th as they will wrap up their regular season against Franklin & Marshall for senior day at 11:00 a.m.
