Softball Concludes Season at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Ursinus Softball team wrapped up its 2026 season with a pair of losses to Salisbury on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Bears jumped right on the Sea Gulls in the top of the first in game one with three runs on five hits to go up 3-0. Ursinus loaded the bases and converted a trio of bases-loaded singles by first-year Nina Davidson, senior Keelie Hancock, and first-year Alexia Weidner. Hancock extended the Bears lead to 4-0 in the top of the second with a two-out RBI double before the Sea Gulls scored four in the bottom of the half to tie the game. Salisbury took the lead for good in the bottom of the third with five runs off three hits and two errors to go up 9-4. Sophomore Anna Evanchik led the Bears by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Hancock went 2-for-4 with two RBI's. Sophomore pitcher Lily McGrath tossed three shutout innings in relief allowing just three hits and striking out one.

In game two, the game remained scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when junior Leah Bonsignore drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs to make it 1-0. However, the Sea Gulls responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth and blew the game open with five in the bottom of the seventh to go up 7-1.
