COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus women's soccer team battled throughout but eventually fell, 1-0, against McDaniel College on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Patterson Field.
With the loss, Ursinus falls to 4-3-1 on the season and 1-2 in Centennial Conference action, while the Green Terror improve to 5-2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Madison Lippay were each recognized for their dedication and commitment to the women's soccer program over the last four years.
Sophomore
Cora Kim registered the first shot on goal in the 11th minute for Ursinus, but her attempt was turned away by the Green Terror defense. On a free kick chance, the initial cross into the box was deflected out to Kim, and her one-timer was saved on a diving attempt by McDaniel's Sierra Ruehl.
McDaniel's offense tallied the next five shots, with each opportunity staying off goal until first-year netminder
Lexie Albaeck recorded a save in the 36th minute. Ursinus amped up the pressure, tallying four shots over the final seven minutes of the first half, but was kept off the board as the game entered halftime tied at zero.
The Green Terror responded out of the halftime break, capitalizing on a corner attempt in the 50th minute with Carly Brock finding Alexis Keller-Posen for the game's opening goal. Kim nearly answered for the Bears in the 56th minute, but her shot attempt was denied by the Green Terror defense.
Ursinus continued to put pressure on the McDaniel back line, with junior
Kaleigh Evans and Krystkiewicz tallying shots for the Bears, but they were unable to find the equalizer, falling 1-0.
McDaniel held a 12-9 edge in shots, a 4-2 lead in shots on goal and a 5-0 advantage in corner kick opportunities. Ruehl earned the shutout victory in goal for McDaniel with two saves, while Albaeck suffered the loss, totaling three saves.
The Bears will return to action Wednesday, September 30th, as they travel to Immaculata University for a 4 p.m. start.
