Team of the Week 9/8/26
 
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus College football junior Andy Zigbuo added to his weekly accolades after earning a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week, announced by the website on Tuesday morning.
 
 
Zigbuo had two interceptions and played a big role in the Bears' 17-14 season-opening win over Delaware Valley. It was the first multi-interception game of his career and he added three solo tackles as well. Both of his interceptions stopped Aggies drives that made it into Bears territory, with one coming in the end zone.
 
 
He was named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts on Sunday as well.
 
 
This is the first time in his career that Zigbuo was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and he is the first Bear since Nick Strusowski in September of last season to land a spot on the weekly team.
 
 
 
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 28th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.
