Alex Crim enters his first season as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator of the Bears for the 2024 season. Crim came to Ursinus after spending the 2023 season as the Assistant Coach of the Delaware Valley Aggies baseball team.
While coaching at Delaware Valley University in 2023 he worked with both the pitching staff and hitters. In 2023 the Aggies recorded nine conference wins, the most for the program in over a decade. In addition, the Aggies recorded their first conference series sweep in over a decade. Crim helped Junior Outfielder Jonathan Drews to a Second Team All-MAC and All-Region IV selection.
Crim’s collegiate coaching career began at Bucks County Community College in 2020 where he served as the Pitching Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Following his stint at Bucks County Community College he served as the Pitching Coach at Immaculata University in the spring of 2021. Under his guidance the Team ERA was lowered from 6.80 in 2019 (last full season before taking over as the pitching coach) to a 5.24 in 2021. In addition, he helped Junior Right Handed Pitcher Ryan Crowell make the First Team All-Atlantic East. Crim not only helped the Mighty Macs set a school record of 15 consecutive games won but a championship appearance in the Atlantic East Tournament.
Crim’s playing career expanded across three different colleges: Rider University, Northampton Community College, and Delaware Valley University.
Crim will help lead the recruiting efforts for the Bears and help with the development of all the players on the team.
