Menard completed his first season with the Bears as the defensive line coach where he coached two 1st Team All-Conference selections in Ryan Bodolus, and Ethan Belville with the latter also receiving 3rd Team All-Region recognition. The Bear’s Defense was #1 in the Nation in Fumble Recoveries as well as being at the top of other categories in the Centennial Conference.
Menard comes to Ursinus College after serving as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Virginia Military Institute. The Keydet Offense was the 26th total offense in all of FCS that season with a plethora of All-Conference selections. The 2021 season was Menard’s second stint with the program, both seasons being some of the best in program history.
Menard returned to the Institute after spending 2020 season as the Defensive Line Coach at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio. He led all activities for the defensive line unit and recruited the I-90 corridor in Ohio as well as several Western states while also serving as the film and JV defensive coordinator. There was no season due to Covid.
At VMI in 2019, Menard served as the Assistant Linebackers and assisted with video, scout offense and special teams. He led the pregame warmups, and on-campus and game-day visits for the Keydets. Menard helped the Keydets to a .500 conference record in 2019, where four defensive players earned All-Southern Conference honors.
Menard spent two seasons as a defensive assistant at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV, helping the Rams to a 17-4 combined record over his two seasons with the program. In 2018, as the assistant defensive line coach, Menard helped coach a defense that was ranked 13th in NCAA Division II in 2018 and garnered All-Mountain East Conference (MEC) defensive linemen selections. He served as the Interim Defensive Line Coach for the Winter of 2019.
Menard began his coaching career as an assistant coach at The Saint James School in St. James, MD, spending two seasons with the Saints as an Assistant Offensive and Defensive Line Coach and the Junior Varsity Special Team’s Coordinator.Â
Menard graduated with a B.S. in Recreational and Sport Studies from Shepherd in 2018 and attained a Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University of Irvine in 2020.
