Rob Quigley will be entering his 20th season at Ursinus and 17th as the offensive line coach for the Ursinus football program in 2023.
In 2022, Coach Quigley’s offensive line helped the Bears’ to set several Ursinus offensive records and the Bears finished 9-2, ending the season with a Centennial-MAC Bowl championship over King’s. The Bears average 40 points per game while leading the Centennial Conference in passing yards with 3,204 while QB Jack Psenicska finished 5th in the country with 36 touchdown passes. Additionally, the line paved the way for RB Tony Holden to finish second in the Centennial with 108.3 yards rushing per game while the Bears ball carriers added another 17 touchdowns on the ground. It was the second consecutive season, and third time in Quigley’s tenure, that four Bears offensive linemen received All-Centennial honors (Matt Bevan, Brandon Derby, Jake Ahmad and Trey Williams).
In 2021, Quigley’s line protected QB Jack Psenicska as he set multiple passing records, including yards in a season 2,853 and passing 25 TDs in a season. Behind the offensive line the Bears running backs finished with 1,396 yards rushing and another 20 TDs on the ground and Sam Ragland led the Centennial in rushing for the second time in his career, this time with 1,181 yards. Four Ursinus offensive linemen were awarded All-Centennial honors, Matt Bevan, Kevin Hahn, Brandon Derby and Brett Johnson.
Other career highlights for Quigley include 2010 when the Bears were Centennial Conference champions. In 2014 the Bears led the NCAA by allowing only 31 tackles for a loss during the season. In 2015 Ursinus travelled to Division 2 Millersville to open the season, after five overtimes the Bears offensive line wore down the Marauders as Ursinus prevailed 17-10. In 2018 the offense line helped Sam Ragland lead the Centennial in rushing and the Bears finish the season by beat Misericordia 70-14 in the Centennial-MAC Bowl. From 2017-2021, the Bears offensive lines led the way for Ragland to set the Ursinus career record for rushing touchdowns with 48, which also places Ragland fourth all time in the Centennial.
Coach Quigley has mentored thirty-four All-Centennial selections, including three-time honorees Mike D’Amico, Anthony Figueroa, and Victor Jaramillo as well as two-time choices Carmen Gentile, John Rinkus, Joe Polansky, Brett Highland, Matt Bevan and Brandon Derby. Quigley has placed two or more offensive linemen on the All-CC teams in all but four of his seasons coaching the Bears OL.
Prior to taking up coaching Quigley was an analyst and real estate broker for Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles for three years.
Quigley is a 2000 graduate of Georgetown University, where he was a standout offensive lineman, team captain, first team All-American, and a three time All-Conference selection.
Quigley lives in Trappe, Pennsylvania with his wife Melissa, sons Trevor and Tyler, and their dog Scout.
