Ursinus College

SENIOR (2024): Started all 16 games for the Bears on defense … Ranked third on the team in caused turnovers (18) and fourth in ground balls (24) … Collected four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls during team’s opening victory over Albright (2/21) … Tallied a season-high five caused turnovers and corralled three ground balls against Washington College (3/23) … Recorded four ground balls and two caused turnovers against Muhlenberg (4/24).

SENIOR (2023): Started all 18 games for the Bears, while leading the team in Caused Turnovers with 27 … Ranked second on the team in Draw Controls (90) and third on the squad with 26 Ground Balls … Forced four turnovers and tallied three ground balls in season debut against Rowan (2/22) … Tallied five draw controls, three caused turnovers, and three ground balls in team’s victory over Albright (2/25) … Collected eight draw controls in back-to-back games against Drew (3/18) and Delaware Valley (3/22) … Forced two turnovers in back-to-back victories over McDaniel (4/1) and Swarthmore (4/5) … Recorded a season-high 11 draw controls against Swarthmore (4/5) … Tallied two caused turnovers in consecutive games against Gettysburg (4/22) and Muhlenberg (4/26).

JUNIOR (2022): Appeared in all 17 games while starting 16 of them in the Midfield ... Scored four goals and two assists while producing 26 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers ... Picked up a ground ball in 15 consecutive games to end the season ... Produced a goal and an assist in Bears 16-14 victory over Susquehanna (3/23). 

SOPHOMORE (2021): Played in one game, making season debut in finale at McDaniel (5/1) ... Named to Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

FRESHMAN (2020): Started every game in the midfield ... Tied for second on team in both draw controls (12) and ground balls (11) ... Also tacked on five caused turnovers ... Had three ground balls and five draws against Rowan (2/26) ... Paired four grounders with three draw controls versus Albright (2/29)

Before Ursinus: Three-year varsity starter and two-time All-Pioneer League selection at Pope John Paul II ... Captain and team MVP as a senior, when she led the team in ground balls and draw controls ... Scholar Athlete Honor Roll as a junior and senior ... Top 20 percent of class every year

Personal: Born July 9, 2000 ... Daughter of John and Kirsten Cherneskie ... Father (football) and mother (soccer) both played at Kutztown ... Has three siblings, Johnnie (26), Kirk (24), and Kylie (21) ... Brothers played football at Ursinus and sister Kylie is also played on the women's lacrosse team ... Biology major ... Involved in Whismer on Wheels program

Why Ursinus? I chose Ursinus College because I felt that it was the perfect fit for me. At UC, I am looking forward to getting an excellent education and challenging myself academically, as well as continuing my athletic career.
