RADNOR, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team
upped its record to 6-9 Monday afternoon with a 9-0 shutout of
Cabrini in non-conference play.
In singles play, junior Kevin Dean (Vernon, N.J./Vernon
Township) won at number one flight over Walter Jesuncosky, 6-0,
6-1. Freshman Sean Kelley (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) scored a 6-0, 6-1
win at number two singles over Justin Lutterorty, followed by
senior Jason Zerbe (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) defeating Jake Neary at
number three flight, 6-0, 6-4.
At number four flight, senior Josh Hollaman (Stratford,
Conn./Bunnell) defeated Shane McKeon, 6-0, 6-2, with freshman Nick Rall (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) defeating Andrew Golden at
number five flight, 6-0, 6-0.
At number six flight, sophomore Kyle Davis (Doylestown,
Pa./Central Bucks East) downed Joseph Stafford, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles play, Dean and Kelley defeated Jesuncosky and
Lutteroty, 8-1 at number one flight, followed by Rall and Zerbe
teaming up to defeat Neary and Golden 8-0 at number two flight.
At number three flight, Davis and freshman Matt Surman
(Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) defeated McKeon and Stafford, 8-0.
