CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's
tennis team moved its record to 7-9 with a 9-0 shutout of DeSales
University in non-conference play on Thursday afternoon.
In singles play, junior Kevin Dean defeated Dan Bullen at number
one flight, 6-2, 6-0, with freshman Chris Wyshock defeating Thomas
Grace at number two flight, 6-0, 7-5.
At number three flight, freshman Sean Kelley defeated Anthony
Guerriero, 6-1, 6-1, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 at number four flight
by senior Jason Zerbe over Colin Pomer.
At number five flight, senior Josh Hollaman defeated Joe
Sulpizio, 6-4, 6-4, with the final point in singles coming at
number six flight as freshman Nick Rall defeated Adam Dorn, 6-0,
6-0.
In doubles play, junior Greg Lewis and Wyshock teamed up to
defeat Bullen and Pomer, 8-3. At number two flight, Hollaman and
Zerbe defeated Grace and Guerriero, 8-2.
At number three doubles Rall and freshman Matt Surman defeated
Sulpizio and Dorn, 8-1.
