READING, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team
finished the 2010 season on Thursday afternoon with an 8-1 win over
Albright.
The win put the Bears at 10-11 for the season, marking the first
time since 1985 that the Bears have posted a ten-win season.
Ursinus took five out of six singles matches as Kevin Dean
defeated Lee Fura at number two flight, 6-2, 6-1, followed by Sean Kelley defeating Jason Lefkoe at number three flight, 6-1, 6-1.
At number four flight, Josh Hollaman defeated Mike Callahan,
6-4, 6-4, at number four flight, followed by Kyle Davis defeating
Adam Stamm at number five flight, 6-0, 6-0. Nick Rall won his match
at number six flight by forfeit.
In doubles play, Bennett MacLaughlin and Kelley defeated Fura
and Stamm, 8-2 at number one flight, followed by Chris Wyshock and
Greg Lewis defeating Kenneth Ip and Callahan at number two flight,
8-2.
Davis and Rall won their match at number three flight by
forfeit.
