Box Score READING, Pa. – Ursinus senior midfielder Leah Shaw (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) scored two goals in the ninth and 72nd minute as the Bears (1-1) defeated Gwynedd-Mercy (0-2) 3-0 in the consolation match of the Crusader Classic hosted by Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman defender Paige Abronski (Cherry Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace) scored the Bears third goal in the 38th minute on an assist by freshman forward Emily Bergmann (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford Senior HS).
The three goals were more than enough for junior goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washingtown Township) who made three saves in the win.
