FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Four Ursinus Men's Tennis student-athletes traveled down to Virginia over the weekend to compete at the ITA Southeast Regionals on the campus of Mary Washington.

Ethan Yu, and
Darby Rogers along with senior
Noah Mandel represented the Bears at the regionals.
Yu highlighted the Bears in singles action by advancing to the semifinals of the B4 singles bracket behind a pair of wins. He took down Larry Johnson III of Stevenson 8-2 in the round of 16 before earning a convincing 8-2 triumph over Casey Coffey of Hampden-Sydney in the quarterfinals. Yu's run ended in the semifinals as he was edged 8-5 in a competitive contest to David Kohl Perkins of Washington College.
Oberholtzer competed in the championship singles bracket and dropped a heartbreaker to Gonzalo Gentou of Franklin & Marshall 6-7 (3-7), 5-7 in the first round. He bounced back in the consolation singles by defeating Daoud Alkhalidi of St. Mary's (Md.), 8-6.
Rogers was also in the B4 bracket with Yu and opened with an 8-4 victory over Matthew Leonard of Bridgewater College in the round of 16. He was then downed in a highly-competitive 8-7 match that was decided in a tiebreaker, 9-7.
Oberholtzer and Rogers fell 8-4 to Andres Fente and Utham Koduri of Swarthmore in the first round of championship doubles. Mandel and Yu dropped an 8-5 match to Kier Nacua and Nicholas Rohr of St. Maty's (Md.) in the round of 16 for B2 doubles before bouncing back with an 8-3 consolation win over Gabe Elder and Mark Gordon of Bridgewater.
The Bears will wrap up their fall season on Saturday, October 8th as they will host York and Marymount (Va.) in a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m.
