LANCASTER, PA. - Ursinus women's lacrosse junior Alexa Machado was named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced by the conference Tuesday morning.  

Machado tallied 12 saves and allowed just nine goals in the Bears 13-9 win over Arcadia on Saturday. Machado faced 30 total shots with 21 going on net, posting a 57.1% save percentage. She also led the team with a team-high five ground balls in the win.  

She ranks second in the conference with 36 saves and fourth in save percentage at 50.7%. 

The Bears will return to action next Wednesday as they travel to Stockton for a 7pm start.
