BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Behind two second half goals, the Ursinus College men's soccer team recorded a 3-3 draw against Moravian University on Tuesday evening.
With the draw, Ursinus moves to 8-6-2 on the season meanwhile the Greyhounds sit at 5-6-5 overall.
The Bears offense recorded the opening two shots of the contest as seniors Sevah Yepoyan and
Tommy Mollis each had their scoring opportunities saved by the Greyhounds defense. During the 27
th minute, Moravian capitalized on just their second shot on goal when Aidan Costa found Colin Woehlcke for the opening score. Moments later, Ursinus quickly responded with a shot from Mollis that missed high of the net to keep the deficit at one. Each defense played well over the remainder of the first half as Ursinus trailed by one at the break.

Josiah Moore tallied back-to-back saves to open the second half, before Mollis capitalized scoring his eighth goal of the season to tie the game during the 54
th minute. Under two minutes later, Moravian regained a 2-1 advantage when Cole Stevens assisted Ryan Latchford on a goal at the 56:23-mark. The Greyhounds stretched their lead to two during the 59
th minute when Costa assisted on a goal to Rafai Sanjuan to make the score 3-1. Ursinus started to regain momentum during the 59
th minute when Mollis' shot was saved by Moravian's Christian Beebe. During the 68
th minute, senior
Harry Lorenc cut the deficit to one with his third goal of the season. Moments later at the 70:49-mark, junior
Luke Luehrs tied the contest at three a piece after scoring his first goal since September 6
th against Immaculata. The Bears offense would fire two more shots, while the back line for Ursinus stood tall throughout the remainder of the contest resulting in the 3-3 draw.
The Greyhounds held a 22-16 advantage in shots, but just an 8-7 edge in shots on goal. Moore earned four saves during the contest, while Moravian's Beebe tallied five saves over 90 minutes of action.
The Bears will wrap up their 2023 season on the road at Gettysburg on Saturday starting at 4 p.m.
