The Bears won the first two points of the match and won seven straight points to take a 9-3 lead in the first set, forcing a Green Terror timeout. Out of the timeout, McDaniel won five of the next six points to cut the deficit down to 10-8. Ursinus responded by winning six of the next nine points to go up 16-11 before the Green Terror stormed ahead at 20-17 by winning nine of the next 10 points. Ursinus responded in the second set by jumping out to a 10-3 lead. The Bears won six straight points after McDaniel reduced the lead down to five at 11-6 and had to stave off another Green Terror run which left their lead at 16-12. Ursinus worked its lead back out to 19-13 before the Green Terror won four of the next five points to make it 20-17. McDaniel got within two points twice of the Bears, but Ursinus fended away another rally and won the set at 25-20.
