Franklin & Marshall added the first few scoring opportunities of play as their first was blocked by the Bears defense and the second was saved by senior netminder Mandy Carideo. After the Diplomats next two opportunities missed wide, Ursinus was awarded a corner kick opportunity at the 12:59-mark. On the corner kick, sophomore Holly Joseph played a cross into the box finding senior Kayla Harvey with space against the Diplomat defenders. Unfortunately, Harvey's shot towards the left post was saved by Franklin & Marshall's netminder Molly DeBrandt to keep the contest scoreless. Carideo and the Bears defense continued to deny the Diplomats offense resulting in three saves and heading into halftime with the score tied at zero.

The Diplomats opened the second half recording back-to-back shots during the 49th minute as the first chance connected with the crossbar and the second missed wide of the net. At the 53:30-mark, Franklin & Marhsall capitalized with the opening score as a cross into the box deflected off of Carideo's hand and right to Sophie Koziol for her second goal of the season. During the 62nd minute, sophomore Kaleigh Evans nearly found the equalizer, but her scoring attempt missed wide to keep the Bears deficit at one. The Bears defense stood tall over the remainder of the contest as Carideo tallied five more saves, but the Bears offense was unable to capitalize in the final minutes resulting in a 1-0 defeat to Franklin & Marshall. In the final moments, sophomore Ellie Frank and first-year Taylor Pezulich each recorded shots, but Frank's opportunity was saved and Pezulich's missed wide to conclude the contest.
