COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – A pair of juniors recorded their 100th-career goals as the Ursinus College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 19-14 victory over Widener University on Wednesday evening from Patterson Field.

Maeve Leonzi each recorded their 100th-career goals as classmate
Julia McCann collected her 200th-career draw control in the Bears victory. Leonzi totaled a career-high six goals in the contest, while Lynch tallied four goals behind converting on two of her three free-position opportunities. McCann and sophomore
Meghan Vizian each added three goals apiece, while McCann totaled nine draw controls and three caused turnovers in the contest.
Lynch got the Bears on the board within the first 30 seconds of the contest before Vizian increased the lead to two with her first goal at the 11:56-mark. Three minutes later, the Pride answered with back-to-back goals to the contest at two apiece with 8:47 remaining in the opening period. At the 7:01-mark, Leonzi added her first goal of the game as she juked past two Widener defenders before sending a bouncing shot past the Pride netminder to regain a 3-2 lead for Ursinus.Senior
Mary Michaud followed up with a free position goal before Lynch's second goal stretched the Bears lead to 5-2 at the 2:30-mark. Widener answered with a goal in the closing seconds of the quarter to cut their deficit to 5-4 heading into the second period.
Ursinus bounced back to open the second stanza by scoring three consecutive goals to stretch the Bears lead to 8-4 with 10:15 remaining. Lynch's 100th career goal came at the 11:48-mark as she capitalized on a free-position opportunity by sprinting towards the net before spinning past a defender for the goal. The Pride answered with back-to-back scores during a women-up opportunity to cut their deficit to 8-6 with 7:21 remaining in the half. The Bears answered by scoring four of the final goals in the quarter to extend their lead to 12-7 at the halftime break. Junior
Sarah Child scored her first goal of the contest, while Leonzi, Lynch, and Vizian each added to their multi-goal performances.
Ursinus netted the opening goal of the second half as McCann forced a turnover before capitalizing on a one-on-one opportunity to give the Bears a six-point advantage. Over the next three minutes of play, Vizian and Leonzi combined for the next scores as Ursinus earned their largest lead of the day at 16-7 with 8:23 remaining in the period. Each team scored twice over the remainder of the third period as Ursinus held onto a 17-9 advantage entering the final quarter. The Pride started to gain momentum in the fourth quarter as they scored the first three goals of the period to cut their deficit to 17-12. Ursinus quickly responded with back-to-back goals as Leonzi and McCann connected on scoring opportunities. Widener scored the final two goals of the contest, but the Bears lead proved to be too large as Ursinus earned the 19-14 home victory.
Ursinus held a 36-23 advantage in shots, a 21-14 edge in groundballs, and converted on 81.2% (13-of-16) of their clear attempts. Widener converted on just 42.1% (8-of-19) of their clear attempts, while the Bears defense forced 22 turnovers on the day.

Camille Hubbs collected five saves over 45 minutes of play.
The Bears return to action on Saturday as they host McDaniel College for a 12pm start from Kenneth Gill Stadium. Saturday's contest starts a five-game Centennial Conference road stretch for the Bears as they ramp up conference play before returning home on April 20th against Gettysburg College.
