FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – A pair of Ursinus Men's Tennis student-athletes competed at the ITA Southeast Regionals this weekend at the University of Mary Washington.
 
 
Sophomores Teddy Snyder and Deniz Finkel competed for the Bears in singles and doubles action.
 
 
Snyder and Finkel each competed in the championship singles bracket which began Friday. Finkel dropped an 8-1 match to Edvard Porsmyr Hansen of Christopher Newport while Snyder suffered an 8-2 loss to Luke Brodsky of Franklin & Marshall. They duo moved onto the consolation bracket where Snyder fell 8-5 to Rafael Rullan of Virginia Wesleyan and Finkel lost 8-6 to Aaradith Ravichandran of Washington College.
 
 
In championship doubles play, Snyder and Finkel suffered a 6-1 loss to Kai Chen and Winston Zhang of Swarthmore. Snyder and Finkel bounced back to earn a 6-2 win over Dickinson's Lucas Bogle and Drew Allen in the consolation bracket. However, due to weather conditions, many matches who advanced through the brackets were not scheduled. Because of time constraints, these matches will not be played.
 
 
The Bears will return to action on Thursday, October 3rd as they will host Chestnut Hill at 2:00 p.m. in their first dual match of the season.
