NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 22 Ursinus women's wrestling team earned two victories while competing at the Gator Boots Duals on Friday, hosted by Luther College.
The Bears defeated Loras College, 49-0, and the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, 41-6, but fell to No. 8 Emmanuel University, 31-14. Ursinus now holds a 4-2 dual-meet record on the season.

The Bears recorded their largest margin of victory in program history, surpassing a 42-5 win over Cedar Crest College in November of last season.
Gavares earned Ursinus' quickest fall of the day in the opening bout, pinning Loras' Kylie Loffer in 19 seconds to give the Bears a 5-0 lead. During the match, her opening shot was denied, before Gavares converted a double-leg reshot to secure the fall.
Guy followed with a 10-0 victory by technical superiority to extend the lead to 9-0, before Ursinus recorded five straight wins by forfeit to push the advantage to 34-0. At 160 pounds, first-year
Charlotte Bowman notched a fall at the 2:13 mark over Izabella Peters to make it 39-0. Peguero Del Rosario (180) added a 23-second fall over Lucy Read, while junior
Gianna Perez closed out the match with a forfeit at 207 pounds to seal the 49-0 victory.
No. 8 Emmanuel University 31, No. 22 Ursinus 14
Gavares and Guy earned consecutive falls to give Ursinus an early 10-0 lead against Emmanuel. Gavares pinned Rebekah Jean-Baptiste at the 5:05 mark at 103 pounds, while Guy followed with a fall over Haley Zinninger at 2:25. Guy held a 4-3 advantage late in the first period before countering her opponent for the pin.
Emmanuel responded with a forfeit at 117-pounds and a fall at 124-pounds to tie the dual at 10-10 with six bouts remaining. At 131 pounds, Emmanuel's Janida Garcia recorded an 8-4 decision over junior
Stacy Bloomfield to give the Lions a 13-11 lead. Emmanuel then posted three straight technical falls to extend its advantage to 25-11 with two bouts remaining.
Peguero Del Rosario earned a 7-4 decision at 180 pounds, battling back from an early 4-0 deficit and securing a take down in the final seconds. A forfeit at 207-pounds closed out the dual, resulting in a 31-14 defeat for Ursinus.
No. 22 Ursinus 41, University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh 6
Ursinus once again jumped out to a fast start as Gavares, Rizzuto and Guy each recorded bonus-point victories to give the Bears a 13-0 lead. Gavares earned a 12-0 victory by technical superiority, followed by a 10-0 technical fall from Rizzuto over Myra Bair. Guy then pinned Allison Weiss at the 1:07 mark for her third bonus-point win of the day.
Senior
Kalli Roskos used a four-point second period to rally for an 8-7 victory over Mya Delleree, extending the lead to 16-1. Next, Bloomfield, junior
Paisley Fox and Morrison followed with three straight falls to push the margin to 31-1. At 138 pounds, Fox defended an early shot before executing a bar tilt to secure the fall in 20 seconds. Bowman received a forfeit at 160-pounds for the Bears, before Peguero Del Rosario closed out the tournament with a 21-second fall at 207-pounds to give Ursinus the 41-6 victory.
The Bears will break for the holiday season before returning to the mat on Sunday, Jan. 11, when they host the Ursinus Duals inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center beginning at 11 a.m.
