The Bears continued to add to their lead in the bottom of the second as they scored four runs on six hits to make it 7-0. A trio of singles loaded the bases with one out before a force out at home set the stage for Carr came through again with a two-out two-run single that initially made it 5-0. First-year

Immaculata took advantage of a fielding error to get its first run of the game to make it 7-1 in the top of the third, but Wichman countered with a two-out single with Carr on second that got the run back in the bottom of the fourth. A bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth with two outs by Immaculata cut the lead down to 8-4 before the Bears exploded for five runs to end the game in the bottom of the fifth at 13-4. Immaculata got a run back in the top of the second on a groundout and later tied the game at two in the top of the fourth from a sacrifice fly. The Bears took the lead back at 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth after Evanchik doubled in Mallen to start the inning.
