CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field started its penultimate weekend of the outdoor regular season this afternoon at the two-day Paul Donahue Invitational hosted by Widener University.
In the first day of the meet that featured schools once again from all three NCAA Divisions, the Bears had athletes in throwing, jumping, and distance events.
Sophomore
Hannah Quinn led the Bears in the discus with a throw of 34.12 meters and placed 16th overall and classmate
Randi Wood recorded a mark of 31.88 meters in the discus. Wood also had the Bears top shot put mark at 9.31 meters.
A pair of juniors in
Rhiannon Okuniewski and
Lily Nagy competed in the triple jump with Okuniewski leading the duo on her mark of 9.74 meters that placed 16th overall. Nagy recorded a jump of 9.56 meters that was right behind in 18th.
Senior
Ryann Wauthier paced Ursinus in the 5,000 meters with her time of 18:56.63 which was good for 25th overall.
Ursinus returns to action tomorrow, April 19th as they conclude the Paul Donahue Invitational starting at 9:00 a.m.
