CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team saw its first action of the Outdoor season this weekend at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener.
Competing against schools from all three NCAA Divisions, the Bears showed well in the two-day meet.
Sophomore
Mia Bompensa paced the Bears in the pole vault in ninth place after clearing the bar at 3.20 meters. Junior
Hannah Quinn represented the Bears in a pair of throwing events by recording a 31.59 meter discus throw and mark of 36.03 meters in the weight throw.
First-year
Alissa Joseph led a host of Bears runners in the 800 meters with her personal best time of 2:27.92 and classmate
Emi Loverdi paced the Ursinus 1500-meter runners on her time of 5:11.22. Sophomore
Lindsay Solomon led the Ursinus runners in the 5,000 meters with her personal best time of 20:39.17.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 3rd as they will open the two-day Ursinus Track & Field Festival starting at 2:00 p.m. with the Hammer Throw.
