Full All-Region Teams
NEW ORLEANS – The Ursinus College women's track and field team saw eight student-athletes garner a program record 17 All-Metro Region selections for the 2025-26 outdoor season, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.
Among the eight selections for the Bears were: senior
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman in the pole vault, sophomore
Mia Bompensa in the pole vault, sophomore
Nadly Gyapong in the 100 plus 200 meters, first-year
Sophia Pascale in the 200 and 400 meters, senior
Kaelin Ryan in the 100 hurdles and 200 meters, senior
Mia Sideris in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters, junior
Sam Wechsler in the triple jump, and the 4x100 relay teams of Bauroth-Sherman, Gyapong, Pascale, and Ryan along with the 4x400 relay team of Gyapong, Pascale, Ryan, and senior
Jaycie Miller.
To be named all-region, an athlete must finish either in the top eight of an individual event or be part of a top-eight relay team.
Bauroth-Sherman earned her second All-Region nod in the pole vault this season after her indoor honor and her first career relay All-Region nod. She tied for fourth in the Metro Region with her career best pole vault mark of 3.35 meters set at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships.
Bompensa also earned her second pole vault All-Region honor of the season and her second straight All-Region outdoor nod. She tied for seventh in the region after clearing the bar at a career best 3.25 meters back at Widener in mid-April.
Gyapong was one of three Bears to earn four All-Region nods this spring after a breakout campaign. She was fourth in the region in the 100 meters behind a school record time of 12.18 set back at Lynchburg in early April. She claimed her second school record last week at the AARTFC Championships on a time of 24.80 that was the fifth fastest in the region. Gyapong claimed gold at the Centennial Outdoor Championships in the 200 and silver in the 100 meters.
Pascale also took home four All-Region nods after giving Bears fans a glimpse of the future with a dynamic first-year campaign. She claimed the Bears school record in the 400 meters with her time of 56.06 at the Centennial Outdoor Championships where she also completed her sweep of gold medals for the season in the event at Centennial meets. Pascale ranked seventh in the 200 meters for the region with her time of 24.94 that was initially the Bears new school record before Gyapong topped it.
Ryan put together one of the best sprinting seasons in the history of Ursinus Women's Track & Field by claiming four All-Region nods and earned a spot in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships this Friday. She had the third fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles with a school record time of 14.23 that was set at the Widener Last Chance Meet and sealed her NCAA Championship bid. Ryan was eighth in the 200 meters for the Region on her career best time of 25.00 set at Lynchburg in early April. Ryan repeated her Centennial Conference Most Outstanding Women's Track Performer behind her four medals of two golds and two silvers.
Sideris completed her Ursinus career with a strong senior outdoor season that saw her add two All-Region honors after getting her first Track nod in the Indoor season. Sideris had the fourth fastest time in the 10,000 meters on a personal best time of 37:19.13 at the Centennial Championships that saw her win her first career medal for a bronze. Sideris rounded out the honors in the 5,000 meters in eighth for the region on her career best time of 17:50.27 set at the AARTF Championships.
Wechsler added another All-Region nod to her career total after recording the third best triple jump mark in the region last week of 11.64 meters at the AARTF Championships. She successfully defended her triple jump title at the Centennial Outdoor Championships as well.
The 4x100 team of Bauroth-Sherman, Gypaong, Pascale, and Ryan set the fourth fastest time in the Metro Region with their school record time of 47.46 set at the Penn Relays. Miller and the trio of Gyapong, Pascale, and Ryan put down the second fastest 4x400 relay time of the Metro Region to claim the silver medal at the Centennial Championships on a school record time of 3:51.83.
