COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Track & Field team continued their competition on the second day at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Patterson Field.
After two days, the Bears sit fourth in the team standings with 21.5 combined points.
Junior
Kaelin Ryan locked in a pair of finals spots for Sunday in the 100-meter hurdles and 200 meters. Ryan posted the second fastest time in the 100-meter hurdle prelims on a personal best of 14.75. She finished sixth in the 200 on her time of 26.01. Sophomore
Sam Wechsler will be joining Ryan in the 100-meter hurdles with her time of 15.66 that was the third fastest.
Ursinus also had a pair earn spots in the 400 meter dash finals on Sunday in junior
Jaycie Miller and senior
Meghan Carroll. Miller finished seventh with a personal best time of 1:00.86 and Carroll locked up the last spot in eighth with her time of 1:01.32. Junior
Alexa Mervine recorded a time of 28.14 in the 200 meters and senior
Sierra Hufnagle posted a season best time of 1:15.39 in the 400-meter hurdles.
In jumps, sophomore
Madison Lippay finished fourth in the high jump by clearing the bar at a personal best 1.50 meters and junior
Amanda Traska finished 11th at 1.40 meters. Wechsler finished fifth in the long jump at 5.53 meters and first-year
Emily Barlam was right behind in sixth at 5.32 meters. Junior
Lily Nagy posted a mark of 4.35 meters in the high jump as well.
Sophomore
Hannah Quinn finished 10th in the discus at 33.06 meters and classmate
Randi Wood was 12th with a 31.24-meter throw. First-year
Sam Leo concluded her Heptathlon competition in ninth with a combined 2,499 points.
Ursinus will complete the Centennial Championships tomorrow, May 4th with the first event going off at 11:00 a.m.
