Women's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Tie with McDaniel

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Ursinus Women's Soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with McDaniel on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.

After the Green Terror had a pair of shots saved on the Bears net in the first 11 minutes of the game, the Bears began flipping the field and getting quality pressure on the Green Terror. Ursinus controlled play most of the second part of the first half and recorded seven shots all wide of the net. Sophomore Taylor Pezulich had a decent look in the 48th minute with a low shot that was saved. Senior Adriana Careless had a shot saved in the 63rd minute and the Bears had their best pressure of the game in the 82nd minute by recording three shots, but unfortunately for Ursinus none made it to the back of the net.

The Bears held a 17-6 shot advantage for the game and a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Ursinus also held a slight 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Mallory Toomey made three saves in her fourth shutout of the season while Green Terror goalkeeper Mack Langlo made seven saves in the full time.

The Bears return to action on Wednesday, October 1st as they will host Immaculata at 4:00 p.m. in non-conference play.
