COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – After recording five points last week, Ursinus women's soccer forward
Fiona Sanders has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Sanders led the Bears to a perfect 2-0 record in Centennial Conference play with victories over Bryn Mawr and Gettysburg. Against Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, she recorded an assist in a 2-0 victory over the Owls. She followed that performance by scoring two goals to lead Ursinus to a 2-0 shutout victory over Gettysburg on Saturday.
The Elverson, Pennsylvania, native ranks second on the team with eight points and leads the Bears with four assists this season. Sanders is the first Bear to earn the conference's weekly honor since junior
Kaleigh Evans received the recognition in September 2024.
The Bears return to action Wednesday, hosting Widener University at 7:30 p.m. at Patterson Field.
