LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus men's swimming team wrapped up the Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday with a sixth-place finish. The meet was hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
The Bears totaled 229 team points to place sixth. Johns Hopkins University captured the conference title with 940.5 points. Gettysburg College finished second with 726 points, followed by Swarthmore College in third with 675. Dickinson College (311), Franklin & Marshall (277) and Ursinus (229) rounded out the top six in the eight-team field.
First-year
Alexander Nicolai led the Bears in the 1,650-yard freestyle, placing seventh in 16 minutes, 19.48 seconds. His time marked a personal best and ranks fifth all-time in program history. Junior

Brady May (18:11.15) added top-20 finishes, placing 19th and 20th, respectively.
In the 200-yard backstroke, sophomore
Josh Travers placed 17th in 1:59.91. Senior
David McCauley also finished 17th in the 100-yard freestyle, touching in 47.21 seconds, while first-year
Jack Campbell took 21st in 48.05.

Francesco D'Avella recorded a personal-best time of 2:08.70 in the 200-yard breaststroke to place 10th. Sophomore
Evan Wagner finished 12th in a personal-best 2:11.11. First-year
Elian Murillo Rios (2:21.54) and junior
Adam Denn (2:22.87) placed 18th and 19th, respectively. Junior
Jack Giuliana added a 13th-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.92.
The Bears closed the meet with a sixth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of McCauley, D'Avella, Travers and Giuliana combined for a time of 3:09.44. Ursinus concludes the 2026 season with a 5-6 overall record and will return to competition in the fall.
