COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.
– The Ursinus women's wrestling celebrated Senior Day with a 48-1 victory over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday evening inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Fieldhouse.

With the victory, Ursinus improves to 10-3 overall and has extended their winning streak to five consecutive duals. The victory marks the Bears' 13th straight victory over Division III schools dating back to January of last season.

Ursinus honored four seniors prior to the match as Kalli Roskos (124), Riley Frymoyer (160), Emma Matera (160), and Gianna Perez (180) were recognized prior to the match for their dedication and commitment to the women's wrestling program over the last four seasons.

The Bears dominated the dual, winning all 10 bouts by bonus points including eight by fall or forfeit. Ursinus jumped out to a commanding 15-0 lead as junior Mandy Gavares (103), sophomore Olivia Guy (110), and first-year Aubree Butler (117) each received victories by forfeit.

Roskos represented the Bears at 124-pounds and grabbed an early 2-0 lead with a single leg takedown in the opening seconds of the match. Roskos secured a pair of takedowns before tilting her opponent for the victory by technical superiority at the 1:48-mark of the match. The victory marked Roskos' 82nd of her career which ranks the most all-time in program history. Next at 131-pounds, sophomore Ashley Diaz earned a 12-2 victory over Eva Herrera to extend the Bears match lead to 23-1. Diaz collected an early takedown via a single leg, before defending off a shot attempt to grab a 4-0 lead. She added a pair of takedowns to secure the 12-2 victory.

At 138-pounds, junior Paisley Fox increased the Bears lead to 28-1 behind a pin over Alex Graffius at the 1:09-mark of the first period. Fox faced an early 2-0 deficit, but used a lat drop, throwing her opponent to her back to secure the fall. Ursinus carried the momentum into the 145-pound bout as junior Cloe Charlesworth pinned Katie Martin in 58-seconds to give the Bears a 33-1 lead. Charlesworth used a inside leg trip, before advancing her positioning for the fall.

At 160, Matera used a 36-second pin to give Ursinus a 38-1 lead with two matches remaining. Matera secured an early takedown by snapping her opponent before converting on a bar to collect the pin. The Bears recorded their fourth straight victory by fall at 180 as Perez pinned Kaylee Hudson at the 1:04-mark. In the final bout, first-year Jurelys Peguero Del Rosario pinned Bryann Snedeker to just 24-seconds to give Ursinus the 48-1 victory.

In a pair of exhibition matches, Diaz recorded a 10-0 victory over Delaware Valley's Taylor Mazzoni, while first-year Felicity Davis pinned Graffius at the 3:51-mark to close out the dual.

The Bears return to action on Sunday, February 8th as they travel to Coralville, Iowa for the For Her Duals starting at 10:30 a.m. Ursinus will take on No. 1 Iowa, No. 2 McKendree, and No. 20 William Jewell College.
