COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Lacrosse team hosted No. 9 Gettysburg for senior day on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Patterson Field in Centennial Conference play.
Gettysburg scored the first three goals of the game before sophomore
Daniel Rice ended the run to make it 3-1 with 8:59 left in the first quarter. Senior
Chris Bryant answered a Bullets goal to make it 4-2 at the 5:40-mark and Riced added his second after a Gettysburg goal that made it 5-3. However, the Bullets easily scored just 19 seconds later which started a three-goal run to go up 8-3 with 13 minutes left in the second quarter. Bryant scored again to make it 8-4 before Gettysburg made it 9-4 1:30 later. The Bullets pulled away in the second half by outscoring the Bears 9-4 to end the game at 18-8. Senior
Harry Sweitzer and junior
Daniel Kupiec scored two goals apiece in the second half for the Bears. Rice and Sweitzer led the Bears by each tallying three points behind two goals and one assist.
The Bears return to action on Wednesday, April 15th as they will host Muhlenberg for their final home regular season game at 7:00 p.m.
