CARLISLE, Pa. - The Ursinus women's soccer team fell on the road in their first Centennial Conference game of the season, losing 6-0 to the Dickinson College on Saturday evening at the Miller Memorial Field.
 
The loss drops the Bears to 3-2-1 overall on the year, while Dickinson improves to 4-1-2.
 
The Red Devils got their offense going early, as first-year forward Mamady Bangoura scored in the eighth minute. Despite some strong plays by Bears junior goalkeeper Mallory Toomey on multiple shot attempts, Devils junior midfielder Mckenna Gross knocked in another score in the 16th minute.
 
The scoring continued for Dickinson, with senior forward Ava Prisco and junior Maddie Kraft-Williams knocking in goals in the 30th and 36th minute, making it 4-0. Sophomore Joelle Ma scored a goal in the 43rd minute to give the Red Devils a five-goal lead going into the second half.
 
Kraft-Williams got her second goal of the game just two minutes into the second half. The team held on throughout the second half to secure victory.
 
Dickinson held a 26-7 shot advantage throughout, including a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal. The Red Devils also led 4-1 in corner kicks. Red Devils first-year goalkeeper Aralynn Patterson earned the win without having to make a single save, while Toomey took the loss with six saves for the Bears.
 
Ursinus will be back in action on Wednesday, returning to Collegeville to take on conference foe Haverford College for a 7:00 p.m. match. Dickinson will travel to take on Gettysburg College on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
