GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Ursinus Volleyball team dropped a match in straight sets to Stockton) on Tuesday night in non-conference action.

Madison Small registered a team-high 12 kills to continue her impressive start to her collegiate career. Senior
Alexa Mazzeo led the Bears with 14 digs and sophomore
Mackenzie Nardone paced the offense with 14 assists.
The Ospreys took control from the start by winning the first seven points and going up 13-2 in the first set. The Bears did not get the deficit under 10 points as Stockton stayed in control and won the first set 25-12. Ursinus was unable to overcome a slow start again in the second set as the Ospreys went up 8-3 and eventually 14-8. The Bears pulled within three points at 21-18 before Stockton took set two 25-20. Stockton won the first five points of the third set until the Bears won six of the next seven points to tie the set at six. However, the Ospreys won 11 of the next 14 points to go up 17-9 and eventually the third set at 25-14.
The Bears return to action on Friday, September 11
th as they will open competition at the Neumann Knights Invitational against DeSales at 5:00 p.m.
