OBERLIN, Ohio – In their final tune-up before Centennial Championships, the Ursinus Men's Cross Country team raced in the Inter-Regional Border Battle at Oberlin College on Saturday morning.
Competing in a field consisting of 11 regionally ranked and five nationally ranked schools, the Bears finished 16th in the 32-team field.
Sophomore
Paul Faggioli and junior
Tucker McGrath led the Bears at Oberlin by finishing back-to-back in 62nd and 63rd, respectively. Faggioli set a new 8k personal best time of 26:25.2 while McGrath followed narrowly behind by posting a time of 26:25.8. Sophomore
Christian Rosado recorded a time of 26:43.0 and finished 80th overall in the 299-athlete field.
Freshman
Ryan Martin finished fourth among Bears runners and 143rd overall with his personal best time of 27:33.1 while his classmate
AJ Luthra finished fifth among Bears runners with a time of 28:38.7 overall which was also a personal best time. Senior
Steve Wilkins finished sixth between the Ursinus runners in the race with a time of 28:48.7.
Junior
Payton Stanziani (28:51.8), Junior Ean Chasninoff (29:25.3), freshman
Tom Driscoll (29:31.7), sophomore
Ethan Chambers (29:54.4), and sophomore
Jack Fisher (30:08.0) rounded out the Bears runners at Oberlin.
Following a week off, the Bears set their sights on the 2022 Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday, October 29th at Haverford College that will start at 12:00 p.m.
